Founder / Principal
Founder & Principal, Dōma Home Management
Joshua Elsom founded Dōma to bring structure, discretion, and calm accountability to the care of private homes. His background in military service, aviation, aerospace operations, and project management shaped the standard behind Dōma: clear communication, disciplined follow-through, and respect for the details that make a home feel effortless.
At Dōma, Josh leads with a servant-hearted approach and an operator's precision. Every visit, vendor interaction, project update, and household record is guided by a simple promise: enjoy your home, we’ll handle the rest.
A former U.S. Army Airborne Ranger, Josh's service instilled in him the values of dedication, integrity, and professionalism that continue to shape his leadership style. Following his military career, he spent two decades in aviation and aerospace, working in the commercial airline industry and later in defense contracting in support of the Global War on Terror. He also contributed to the development and integration of suborbital launch vehicles within the space sector.
Josh holds both an FAA Airframe & Powerplant license and an FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner. Academically, he earned a B.S. in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Arts in Religion from Redeemer Seminary.
At Dōma, Josh leads with a servant's heart and a strategist's mind. He invests in his team's growth, coaches with purpose, and maintains a clear focus on what truly matters for the business and for Dōma's discerning clients. His ability to blend operational detail with big-picture thinking has made him a trusted advisor and dependable leader.
In his personal life, Josh enjoys writing, restoring his 1910s Craftsman home, snowboarding, flying, and long evening walks with his wife.
Leadership principles
Private residences are handled with restraint, confidentiality, and respect.
Requests, projects, vendors, and follow-up are moved forward with clear ownership.
The best home management happens before something becomes urgent.
Scope, billing, vendor coordination, and service records are documented clearly.
Every recommendation should serve the home, reduce stress, protect time, or prevent avoidable cost.
The Dōma leadership approach
Dōma leadership is not about visibility for its own sake. It is about what happens after the request is made: the vendor is scheduled, the visit is prepared, access is handled, the result is documented, and the homeowner is informed without needing to chase the details.
Team and house managers
Dōma team members and partners are selected for professionalism, reliability, communication, and respect for private homes.

Vendor and partner philosophy
Dōma coordinates with trusted vendors and licensed providers when specialized or regulated work is required. Our role is to organize scope, access, scheduling, communication, documentation, and follow-up so homeowners have a clear view of what is happening and why.
Regulated trade work, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and similar specialized work, is coordinated through licensed subcontractors or designated providers where required.
Founder letter
At Dōma, we often return to a simple idea: your home should be a place of rest.
A beautiful home is meant to bring joy, not responsibility. Our work is to remove the quiet accumulation of upkeep, repairs, projects, and follow-up so your home can feel as it should: seamless, cared for, and ready for the life unfolding within it.
We take care of the rest, and in doing so, we return rest to you.
Joshua Elsom
